Planning lessons around school and salah in the South West
The South West is the most westerly part of England, so sunsets come later than in London, and winter lessons can start a little later after Maghrib.
English schools usually break up in the second half of July and return in early September. In Bristol, Maghrib moves from 16:03 in late December to 21:30 in late June; in Ramadan 2027, expected to begin around 8 February, iftar runs from about 17:10 to 18:02.
