Quran Lessons Online UK ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it:

What we collect
When you fill in our enrolment form
- Whether you are enrolling yourself or your children, your relationship to the children and how many there are.
- Your full name, email address and WhatsApp number (including its country).
- Your teacher preference (male, female or any).
Technical information sent with the form
When you submit the form, we also receive the date and time, the page you used, the website that referred you, any campaign codes in the link you followed (for example from an advert), your IP address, your device, browser and language, your time zone, your screen size and how long you spent on the page. We do not store any of this on your device.
When you contact us or take lessons
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, SMS or email.
- Information needed to arrange and teach lessons, such as the learner's name, level, lesson times and progress.
- Records of the plan you chose and the payments you made.
How we use it and why

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
- Your teacher, who receives the details needed to teach you or your child.
- Hostinger, which hosts our website and sends the enrolment form emails.
- Google, which provides the email inbox that receives enrolment emails.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us or we message you.
- Zoom, Google or Microsoft, depending on which platform you choose for lessons.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or other safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for any longer period the law requires, for example for financial records. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
Children's data
For learners under 18, a parent or guardian fills in the form and receives all communication. We ask for the parent's contact details, not the child's. The only information we hold about a child is what is needed to teach them. Our safeguarding page explains how children are kept safe in lessons.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Our use of cookies is covered in our cookie policy, and the terms of our service in our terms and conditions.
