Who this course is for
- Children who have finished Noorani Qaida and are starting the Quran.
- Adults who learned to read as children but are out of practice.
- Anyone who reads slowly, stops often or loses their place in longer verses.

What you will practise
- Accuracy: every letter and vowel read correctly, without guessing.
- Fluency: reading whole verses smoothly, without breaking words apart.
- Stopping and starting: pausing at the right places and restarting correctly.
- Consistency: reading a set amount regularly, so progress keeps building.
Moving towards your first khatm
A khatm is a complete reading of the Quran. Most students start with the short surahs of Juz Amma, then read through the mushaf from the beginning, a few lines or a page at a time. Your teacher tracks where you are, so each lesson continues exactly where the last one ended. Reaching a first khatm is a milestone many families mark with a small celebration.
Quran recitation classes and tajweed

Frequently asked questions
What does Nazra mean?
Nazra (from the Arabic for "looking") means reading the Quran from the page, as opposed to reciting from memory. A Nazra course builds accurate, fluent reading of the mushaf.
I finished the Qaida but still read slowly. Is this course for me?
Yes. Slow reading with frequent stops is exactly what this course fixes. Fluency comes from reading regularly to a teacher who corrects mistakes before they become habits.
Which mushaf should I read from?
Whichever script you learned with: the Uthmani (Madinah) script or the IndoPak script. Your teacher can advise if switching would help.
Is tajweed included?
Yes. Basic rules are corrected as you read. For a full, rule-by-rule study, continue with our tajweed course.
