Quran classes for families in England

England is home to most of the UK's Muslims, and the communities are spread widely: large, long-established populations in London, Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester, Leicester and Luton sit alongside much smaller communities in market towns and rural counties where the nearest madrasa may be an hour's drive away. For those families especially, an online teacher removes the journey altogether.

Below you can find your region. Each regional page lists the towns and cities we cover there, with local sunset times and census figures.

England's Muslim families range from fourth-generation households in the mill towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire to families who arrived in London or Birmingham only recently. Some want a child to finish Noorani Qaida before secondary school; others want an adult to read fluently for the first time. One-to-one lessons start from wherever each learner is.

Questions from families in England

Are lessons different in different parts of England?

No. The courses, fees and teachers are the same everywhere. The only difference is timing: in December, sunset is around 15:39 in Newcastle and 16:21 in Penzance, so families in the north often start winter lessons a little earlier.

Is there a Quran centre in England I can visit?

No, we teach online only; our registered address is in Birmingham.

Can the teacher explain in Urdu?

Yes, teachers who explain in Urdu are available; lessons can also be fully in English.
