Frequently asked questions
How do I download the tajweed chart as a PDF?
Press “Print or save as PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. Only the chart is printed, on one or two A4 pages.
Which mushaf does the chart follow?
The examples come from the Madinah (Uthmani) mushaf in the riwayah of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, the recitation most UK Muslims learn. The lengths shown are the common ones in Hafs.
Is this chart enough to learn tajweed?
It is a reminder, not a course. Each rule links to a full guide, and the sounds themselves are best learned with a teacher.
