Quran classes for families in Borehamwood
About 4,100 Hertsmere residents, almost 4% of the borough, are Muslim according to the 2021 census, with families of many backgrounds, many of whom moved out from Barnet, Harrow and north London.
Borehamwood is known for its film and television studios at Elstree, and Hertsmere sits just inside the M25, with Thameslink trains from Elstree and Radlett and Great Northern trains from Potters Bar.
With the borough spread between several towns and villages, a regular local Quran class can be hard to reach without a car.
Parents working irregular hours, including in film and television, can move lesson days by arrangement with the same teacher.
Keeping up the routine after moving out of London
Families who move out of north London often lose the madrasa nearby. An online teacher keeps the same daily routine, whether your child is on Noorani Qaida, tajweed or hifz.
