Ramadan Quran reading plan: finish the Quran in 30 days
Finishing the whole Quran in Ramadan means reading about 20 pages a day, one juz, in the 604-page Madinah mushaf. Split around the five daily prayers, that is just four pages after each prayer. Here are plans for 30, 15 and 7 days, and what to do if you are still learning to read.

| 29 days | 21 | 5 |

| 15 days | 41 | 9 |
| 10 days | 61 | 13 |
| 7 days | 87 | 18 |
Based on the 604-page Madinah mushaf. If your mushaf has a different number of pages, use juz instead: one juz a day for 30 days, two for 15 days. See how many pages are in the Quran and how the Quran is divided.
Splitting it around the prayers
- After Fajr: the quietest time; read your largest share here if you can.
- After Dhuhr and Asr: four pages each, even on a working day.
- After Maghrib: a few pages after iftar, before Isha.
- After Isha or Taraweeh: catch up on anything missed.
If you fall behind, do not give up: add one or two extra pages a day until you catch up, or simply aim for a second khatm after Ramadan. Completing the Quran is called a khatm. To keep reading all year, see how much Quran to read daily.
If you cannot read Arabic yet
Ramadan is a wonderful time to start. Set a goal you can reach, such as learning to read the alphabet with Noorani Qaida, memorising Al-Fatihah and a few short surahs correctly, or reading a translation alongside listening to the Arabic. Next Ramadan, you may be reading it yourself.
Frequently asked questions
How many pages a day to finish the Quran in Ramadan?
About 20 pages a day (one juz) finishes the 604 pages of the Madinah mushaf in 30 days. If Ramadan has 29 days, read about 21 pages a day, or read a little extra on the first days.
Is it a sin if I do not finish the Quran in Ramadan?
No. Completing the Quran in Ramadan is a widely loved practice, not an obligation. Reading what you can, with understanding and attention, is valuable.
Can I listen instead of reading?
Listening is rewarding and helpful, especially while learning. If you can read, try to combine listening with reading aloud from the mushaf.
When is Ramadan 2027?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the sighting of the moon. Check your local mosque for the confirmed date.
